Homemade whipped cream is so easy to make, you'll never go back to the can!
Here's what you'll need:
The Process
To start, make sure the whipping cream has been chilling in the refrigerator.
Pour the cream and sugar into a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream on low speed to start. Once it starts to thicken, increase the speed. Beat until soft peaks form. You should be able to flip the whisk or mixing paddles upside down and have the whipped cream remain upright. You'll notice the cream start to move away from the sides of the bowls as it thickens to the correct consistency. It will only take a couple minutes.
*You can do this by hand with a whisk. It will take longer, but it is do-able! If you do not have an electric mixer, try a blender or a handheld immersion blender. Just be careful not to over mix.
